It is the home of wild reindeer and brilliant bird life including puffins, geese, whooper swans and waders. Enjoy a day hiking in pristine nature, hearing stories of elves and other folktales, and visiting small villages, including Hofn, the lobster capital of Iceland.
Day 5: The Eastern Highlands: Land of Waterfalls
Today we head to the eastern highlands, a vast wilderness area. We´ll stop at the Wilderness center, a unique gateway for hiking into the highlands.
